The Choice and Choice Plus plans from UnitedHealthcare differ in meaningful ways. Both are designed for value, but if savings are your primary concern, you may want to consider the Choice Plan. If flexibility is more important to you, Choice Plus is a great option.
- With the Choice Plan, you’ll need to stay in network for services to be covered – which helps save you money thanks to rates UnitedHealthcare negotiates with network providers.
- With Choice Plus, you have the flexibility to go in or out of network – helpful if you want to stay with a doctor who’s not in the network – but you will still save more by choosing a network provider.
- With either plan, you have the option of seeing any doctor, clinic, hospital or health facility that’s in the network.
